I lived in California for 14 years,
where I got started in underwater photography and graphics work. I'm in
Maine for now. When designing a representative tessellation, I try to look
for curves that will "capture" the traits of the subject, rather than
striving for 100% anatomical accuracy. I am also interested in shapes that
will accommodate different internal details or poses when rotated, such as in
the "Playful Kitten" image.
