Assignment:

All first year students will write a 2250 word essay illustrated by hand drawings and diagrams
submitted as an A4 document.

In eight lectures you have been given examples of places and buildings
that are charged with meaning; in a similar fashion show how one of the following places can be
described as meaningful.

(i) Library Walk
(ii) Kendals Department Store
(iii) Animal Hall, Manchester Museum
(iiii) Afflecks Palace
(v) Royal Exchange, St Anns Square.
